Samsung has two new lines of restyled SD and MicroSD memory cards that they say deliver “best-in-class performance.” Both the Samsung High Speed Series and Plus Extreme Speed Series memory cards have a max read speed of 24MB per second and capacities of 4GB or more. The main difference between the two lines is the Plus Extreme Speed cards have a faster maximum write speed of 21MB per second. [...]

Canon announced three new SLR lenses last night, the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM and EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM. Nikon announced two new L-Series Coolpix cameras this week. Sony announced a couple of new 16-megapixel W-Series Cybershot point-and-shoot cameras, the DSC-WX70 and DSC-WX50. Sigma announced a new image-stabilized 180mm macro lens at CES today. Adobe has announced updates for Lightroom and Camera Raw. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.6 and Camera Raw 6.6 are now available for download for Windows and Mac operating systems. The updates include support for new cameras, including the Nikon J1 and V1 mirrorless cameras, the Sony NEX-7, Fujifilm X10, Canon PowerShot S100 and Panasonic’s new GX1 Micro Four Thirds camera.

Adobe has announced the final versions of Camera Raw 6.5 and Photoshop Lightroom 3.5.
