This is a project I’ve wanted to do for a long time – a series of “What’s In My Camera Bag” videos, featuring different kinds of pro photographers and their gear. We are still making our way through all 179 contest entries and posting our favorites as we come to them. I'm a big fan of the BYU Photo Team's shoot below which involved shooting the girls with splashing water. By soaking the gymnasts right before they jump, they are able to capture the motion of their moves with the water by lighting from behind the subject on either side.

At first glance, this may not seem like a photography article. But trust me, it is. Or at least, I want it to be. Earlier today I got a message from my friend and sometimes author here, Patia Stephens. All it said was “Want,” with a link to an article on this product – a new 1-terabyte SSD Swiss Army Knife from Victorinox. They announced the new 1TB SSD Swiss Army Knife at the CES tradeshow [...]

Tom Lacoste is a 23 year old, color blind, French student at the Bordeaux Circus School in Southern France for juggling, acrobatics and hand-balancing. And despite the fact that he has no ambitions to be a professional photographer, his artistry and creativity were more than enough to turn out these brilliantly hot images.

When we see a photo of the Moon we usually see a monochrome image with tones of gray showing an image very similar to what we see with the naked eye. Surprisingly the surface of the Moon has some colors, they are muted but they exist. The colors represent the different materials present in the lunar surface. In this small article I will describe how to create a photo showing the moon in its real colors.

Ok, I wasn't really sure whether to label this [Video] or [Funny], because I laughed through the entire thing. Is this the future of small business advertising? First Toshiba puts a chair in space, then sushi makers put their rolls up there. What's next, next dog breeders? How far will this trend go? Click Here for Full Post and Video.

A unique behind the scenes look with Joe McNally in his Sense of Sight cover story (A National Geographic Production - circa 1992). Talk about a blast from the past. It's great seeing his thought process and work ethic through the entire process. It shows that no matter how old this video is, there's still a lot to be learned from watching the master at work.
