There are a few photography gear deals today – February 29th – Leap Day. The best one I’ve seen so far is Adobe Lightroom 3 for $89. The normal price for Lightroom is $300 so this is over 60% off. That’s a hell of a discount. It also gets you set to upgrade for $99 when Adobe releases Lightroom 4. That won’t be long since there’s already a beta version of Lightroom 4 available [...]

The Nikon Coolpix AW100 is Nikon’s first rugged, waterproof point-and-shoot camera. It was introduced last fall and it went right to the top of the list of desirable point-and-shoots for active outdoor people. I’m actually finishing up a pro review for the AW100 right now so keep your eyes open for that. But Dave’s review, below, gives me a chance to give the camera some attention right now. [...]

Burning Man, held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, is a week-long event starting on the Monday before Labor Day. During this event thousands of people gather together in Black Rock City and experiment in community, radical self-expression and radical self-reliance. In this hilarious spoof on Dell Inspiron, European photographer, Clayton Sotos, begins explaining that his father bought him a camera out of the blue and he’s been taking photos ever since.
